I didn’t have a lot of things growing up, plus I was lucky to have what I did.
After leaving the orphanage for a halfway house, I came to learn that I needed to start making currency before I was sent out into the world on my own.
After I turned 17 the state would kick myself and others out to make room for other orphaned kids with no site to go. I did pretty amazing in school, but college was not in our future, so I needed to start hustling in a jiffy. Can you blame myself and others for selling cannabis? It’s not as if I messed around with drugs or guns or anything that is truly dangerous, it was just cannabis. Although the law plus the government may have been telling us cannabis is dangerous, they were lying the entire time. Cannabis is not dangerous in the slightest, it is one the greatest gifts ever given to society, but it is only recently that it has become legally sanctioned. I never felt immoral for selling cannabis even when it was not legal, however I was easily nervous, because I did not have the desire to go to jail. Now that legalization has passed I can’t sell cannabis any more, because I can’t go jail and I also can’t compete with the cannabis dispensaries. If you can’t beat them, join them, so I got a job working as a budtender at one of the cannabis dispensaries. I only have a high school diploma in terms of education, however I have years experience with selling cannabis… The cannabis dispensary is the only job in town where our history doesn’t truly work against me, it honestly helps me!
